Virtual Reality - The 'Game Changer' for your business success
The Collider Project Meetup – VR Demo
Date: September 20, 2018
Time: 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Place:
Wright Brothers Institute: 2nd Street
444 East 2nd Street
Dayton, OH 45402
Description
THIS FREE EVENTwill focus on Virtual Reality for Base Planning and Management, Equipment & Safety Training, Designing Factory Floors & Buildings, Adding Automation, Inspection & Demonstration.
DESCRIPTION:
Seeing equipment and processes in action is always a more powerful statement about how the equipment will actually work and perform in your facility. However, frequently, the equipment is too large or the process you are imagining is too complex to be shown. Therefore, you’ve either had to reject it as unconfirmed or take a ‘best guess’ as to how it would perform based on drawings. Until now.
Virtual Reality is a game changer in the design of any facility or part, inspecting a process or piece of equipment, operational or safety training on-demand, (especially in traditionally dangerous environments) or presenting equipment in a virtual catalog. And, all of this can be managed remotely and shared globally.
DEMONSTRATION:
Station 1 – Virtual Flight line Environment - Explore a detailed and realistic virtual air base, complete with hangars, maintenance equipment and various aircraft models. Experience the flight line in accurate scale, and use the ability to move and interact with objects in VR to understand the layout and flow of the complex environment.
Station 2 – Industrial Furnace Interactive Training - In this VR experience, you will be able to explore and interact with a large aluminum melting furnace from local manufacturer The Schaefer Group. Learn about all the components of the furnace, proper safety equipment and procedures, and more. This training module allows you to virtually play a role in operating and maintaining industrial equipment, then receive feedback at the conclusion of your training. Training expert Dave White will be available during the demonstration to share how VR training is benefitting industry.
Freebie – Compact mobile VR glasses will be provided to the first 100 attendees!
